Detection units BDMG- 300, BDMG – 300- 01, BDMG – 300- 02 are intended to measure the power of the equivalent of the ambient dose H*(10) of gamma radiation where the block is situated. They are also used for radiation monitoring at industrial facilities with radiation monitoring systems (nuclear power stations, plants of use and processing of radioactive waste, zones close to these objects, etc.).
PURPOSE INDICATORS
• detection unit belongs to the elements of normal operation system, important for the safety of NPP of safety class – 3H / (optional-2U) according to NP 306.1.02/1.034.
• Detection unit provides:
– Continuous monitoring of MED;
– Control by ASRK – command fulfillment by ASKR in real time;
• Detection unit provides information about the measured value in the form:
-of sequences of pulses in standard AKRB-03;
– by RS-485 interface.
• Availability of internal self-testing and delivery of external signal when the detection unit is out of order:
-BDMG-300 – functionality control of all the elements, including Geiger-Muller counter;
-BDMG-300-01 – functionality control of the sensitive channel and the presence of voltage in the power circuit of Geiger-Muller tubes of both channels;
– BDMG-300-02 – functionality control of the rough range when working at the sensitive range.
• Mode of operation: continuous or switching on and off without limiting the number of switching on and duration of use in ON state.
• Energy range of detected gamma rays is from 0.05 to 3.0 MeV.
• Energy sensitivity range is from 0.06 to 1.25 MeV and it does not exceed ± 25% relative to the sensitivity to the radiation energy of the radionuclide 137Cs.
• Measurement range of equivalent dose of gamma radiation is from 0,04 • 10-6 Zv / h to 10 Zv / h and for frequency outputs is divided into two sub-bands:
Detection unit | Sensitive range | Rough range |
BDMG-300 | 0,04·10-6 Zv/h – 0,5·10-3 Zv/h | 4,0·10-5 Zv/h – 10,0 Zv/h |

• measuring inaccuracy of the equivalent dose H * (10) of gamma radiation (P = 0.95) is not more than ± 20%.
• Operation mode setup time is less than 1 min.
• Instability of indications of the detection unit during 24 hours of continuous operation, is not more than5%.
• Continuous operation of the unit is not less than 24 hours
• Nominal voltage is from 8V to 42 V.
• Power consumption when supply voltage is 12 V, is not more than 15 mA
• Supply and withdrawal of power, as well as interruption of power supply for up to 20 ms does not cause any- failures of the detection unit and does not require the intervention of staff for the operation resumption of the detection unit.
