Detection units of type BDZA-100 (100c, 100m) are intended for measuring the level of the area pulluted by alpha-active substances. Output signal is a sequence of normalized, statistically distributed pulses, it contains measurement information about the value of the flux density of alpha radiation where the block is located.
Detection units are to work as a part of radiation monitoring systems
TECHNICAL CHARACTERISTICS
Main characteristics of the blocks are shown in Table 1 and Table 2.
Time to set the working conditions is no more than 1 min.
Time of continuous operation of the unit is not less than 24 hours. The unit allows continuous operation.
Cable length is up to 20 m. The cable length can be increased up to 200 m.
Detector – ZnS (Ag) is on a substrate of Plexiglas.

ELECTRICAL CHARACTERISTICS
Nominal power supply is 12 V.
The consumed current is not more than 30 mA. Designation of the block contacts (plug pc-10) is shown in the table.
Contact | Signal designation | Commentaries
1 | +Uп | Power supply is from +7,0 to +12,0 V
4 | Output | Square-wave pulses, duration (7,0 ± 3,0) mks. Output pulses of the blocks of various versions (100, 100 s, 100 m) differ, depending on the version, the polarity and amplitude: Versionf 00 – negative polarity, amplitude 5 V; version 01 – positive polarity, amplitude 5 V; version 02 – negative polarity, amplitude 12 V; version 03 – positive polarity, amplitude 12 V |
